$20,000 in Matching Funds Available to Businesses for Water Conservation

The City of North Port Utilities is reaching out to area businesses, homeowner associations, schools, assisted living facilities, and golf courses who are considering implementing water conservation improvements in their facilities or in their manufacturing processes. As part of the Southwest Florida Water Management Districts’ 50 percent cost-share reimbursement program, known as Water Incentives Supporting Efficiency, or WISE, funding is available to support water conservation efforts districtwide. Up to $20,000 in matching funds are available for qualifying projects that will help protect the region’s water resources by reducing water use.
