Author of Florida environmental book to speak Thursday in Lakeland
Clay Henderson, a former president of Audubon Florida, will speak Thursday [Oct. 5th] at Florida Southern College in the Florida Lecture Series.
Henderson, an environmental lawyer and educator, will discuss his 2022 book, “Forces of Nature: A History of Florida Land Conservation.” Beginning in the 1980s, Henderson drafted or sponsored many of the environmental provisions in the Florida Constitution, including the creation of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Everglades Trust Fund.
