Become a Sky Warn Severe Weather Spotter

Charlotte County Emergency Management offers Sky Warn Severe Weather Spotter Training Opportunity

CHARLOTTE COUNTY – Charlotte County Emergency Management is excited to be hosting a Sky Warn; Severe Weather Spotter training on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.

This informative class will be instructed by Tampa Bay Weather Warning and Coordination Meteorologist Dan Noah. Persons completing this training receive a weather spotter’s guidebook and become part of a nationwide network of citizen monitors who report anomalies such as tornados, flooding rains and extreme temperatures. Mr. Noah is noted for his engaging style and light-hearted delivery of this often serious subject. Please join us for this important public education endeavor.

When: January 9, 2013 at 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
