Caloosahatchee/Wetland forum on Oct. 14th

Southwest Florida residents—particularly those in LaBelle, Moore Haven and Clewiston (upstream Caloosahatchee)—are invited to attend a community forum on the Caloosahatchee River and wetlands issues.

EPA and NOAA specialists will visit to share their ideas and help initiate discussions among Caloosahatchee stakeholders. The forum will be on Tuesday October 14th from 6:30-8 pm at the Harborside Convention Center, 75 Taylor St, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 . This forum is designed to educate and engage citizens on how wetland loss - and the loss of the natural cleansing and storage as a result - is an often overlooked factor why downstream waters like the Caloosahatchee are in such poor condition.
