IFAS/Lee County to offer pesticide education seminar Nov. 13th
FORT MYERS – The University of Florida, IFAS Lee County Extension is offering a one-day pesticide education Natural & Aquatic Areas Seminar. Continuing education units will be provided in Natural Areas, Aquatic Areas, Right of Way and CORE. The seminar is 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 13, at the North Fort Myers Recreation Center, 2000 North Recreation Park Way, North Fort Myers.
Seminar topics include: understanding wetland plant habitats; identification of native and invasive species; invasive grasses, trees, vines and shrubs of South Florida; controlling algae and aquatic plant pests; handling, storage and spill management of herbicides.
