Save Our Water: Gov. DeSantis says state, feds must complete restoration projects
Gov. Ron DeSantis said Wednesday that he has known for years that Florida's mounting water quality problems need to be addressed.
"It was very clear to me years ago that this was an issue that really affected a really, really broad cross-section of people in our state," he told hundreds at a water summit. "I said, 'Let's just go after it and not hold back and swing for the fences.' "
About 600 people attended the Save Our Water summit, produced by The News-Press and the Naples Daily News and held at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa in Bonita Springs.
