Fort Myers Beach Fishing Pier to close temporarily for multiple improvements

The Fort Myers Beach Fishing Pier at Lynn Hall Memorial Park, 950 Estero Blvd., will be closed for two short periods later this month for maintenance.

From Wednesday, Sept. 11, through Friday, Sept. 13, the pier will be closed for pest control maintenance, which includes the bait shop. It will reopen the morning of Saturday, Sept. 14, weather permitting.

From Monday, Sept. 16, to Friday, Sept. 27, the pier will be closed weekdays for roofing work and maintenance. During this time, the pier will open during weekends from sundown Friday evenings until sunrise Monday mornings.

All amenities at Lynn Hall Park except the pier remain open with regular hours. Amenities at Lynn Hall Park include shelters with grills, restrooms with changing facilities and accessible beach access. Parking is $2 per hour.
