Interested in becoming involved with a local volunteer Water Quality Sampling project?
Please join CHNEP and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection for a water quality monitoring presentation and demonstration.
The Charlotte Harbor Estuaries Volunteer Water Quality Monitoring Program is a region-wide, fixed station, monthly water quality monitoring program, and has been providing reliable water quality data for over 20 years. Volunteers are THE critical component to the success of the monitoring program.
WHAT: Water Quality Monitoring Training
WHEN: Saturday, March 28th, 10am - 12pm
WHERE: Punta Gorda City Hall, 326 W. Marion Ave., Punta Gorda, FL 33950
We will meet at Punta Gorda City Hall (Chambers Room) at 10am for the presentation, and then take a short walk over to Gilchrist Park (400 W. Retta Esplanade) for a fun, hands-on sampling demonstration.
Please bring:
- Drinking Water (no single-use plastic bottles, please!)
- Sunscreen
- Appropriate apparel for water sampling (i.e., sunglasses, water resistant clothing, shoes, hat, towel, etc.)
