Peace River channel markers to be inspected

The Peace River Sail and Power Squadron has volunteered to inspect City maintained channel markers.

They will locate and verify the Global Positioning System coordinates (latitude and longitude) of each channel marker and compare the data with the United States Coast Guard Light List - any discrepancies will be reported for correction.Each sign will be inspected, inventoried and photographed.

The work will be performed on Mon., Apr. 26 from 9 a.m. to approximately 12 p.m.

Boaters are asked to use caution around the channel markers during the inspection period.
