Bonita Springs City Council approves funding for pumps to alleviate flooding

Council has approved a resolution allowing for the purchase of 2 64HP mobile hydraulic pumps and one 225HP power unit at a cost of $289,143.

The city received 2 sealed Bids for the acquisition of the equipment and plans to use FEMA Direct Administrative Cost monies to offset the cost.

With the rainy season around the corner and a projected highly active hurricane season, these pumps will be used to help the city with mitigating the impact of potential flooding situations in the Bonita Springs area.
