Lee County boat ramps to close temporarily for ramp maintenance

County will only allow one ramp to be closed at a time
FORT MYERS – Davis Boat Ramp, 2227 Davis Blvd., Fort Myers, will close Monday, May 16, through Monday, July 18, for routine maintenance and repairs. The ramp is expected to reopen at 7 a.m. Tuesday, July 19.
Boaters can use nearby Alva Boat Ramp along the Caloosahatchee River, 21580 Pearl Street, Alva.
Following completion of that project, the Matlacha Park Boat Ramp, 4577 Pine Island Road, Matlacha, will close for maintenance and repairs. That closure will begin Wednesday, July 20. The ramp will reopen at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16.
Pine Island-area boaters can use the county’s nearby ramp at Lavenders Landing in Bokeelia, 7290 Barrancas Ave, N.W. seven days a week. Or they can launch at Pine Island Commercial Marina, 6001 Marina Drive, on weekends and county-observed holidays. The ramp is not open to recreational boaters on weekdays.
