Everest Canal intermittent closure at Caloosahatchee River

The waterway where Everest Canal meets the Caloosahatchee River will be intermittently closed March 15–17 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A City of Cape Coral dive team will be performing in-water maintenance on the Everest Canal bubble curtain. The waterway will be closed for 15 to 20 minutes at a time, and a Cape Coral Police Department Marine Unit will be on site to direct boater traffic.

The bubble curtain, comprised of diffuser plates placed on the bottom of the canal, produce a "wall" of air bubbles that helps prevent toxic blue-green algae from entering the canals.
